What is Gleaning?
Gleaning is a hundreds year old practice of removing produce from usually overabundant gardens, trees and farms at the time of ripeness.
This began as a remedy to feed the community and not waste edible, nutritious food.
Throughout history, this practice has become a necessity during times of famine, drought and economic downturns.
